Spotlight Report on the United Nations High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development Voluntary National Review (VNR) of the Republic of Zimbabwe

This report highlights key milestones that the Zimbabwean government has taken to improve the lives of all LGBTIQ+ Zimbabwean citizens, more specifically around SDGs 1, 2, 3, 13, 16, and 17. The report will share insights on some of the key challenges LGBTIQ+ communities have faced concerning the Agenda 2030. The report also seeks to assess progress, share good practices and suggest recommendations to the Zimbabwean government around key steps to implement SDGs, ensure LGBTIQ+ inclusion, and align with the National Development Strategy 1 (NDS 1), which will ultimately contribute to a more inclusive society.

This report was developed by the International Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans and Intersex Association (ILGA) and LGBTIQ+ activists from Zimbabwe and supported by the Free to Be Me programme.
