Amid growing financial constraints and anti-rights movements, LGBTI+ communities face urgent challenges that threaten decades of progress. This official side event—organized by the LGBTI Stakeholder Group and co-sponsored by UNDP, OHCHR, Spain, the Netherlands, and pending confirmation, Chile—will explore the critical role of sustainable financing in advancing LGBTI+ rights within the 2030 Agenda.

Through a storytelling roundtable with activists from countries undergoing Voluntary National Reviews in 2025, this event will highlight the real-world impact of funding gaps on healthcare, gender equality, decent work, environmental justice, and global partnerships. It aims to spark dialogue, mobilize support, and create pathways toward inclusive and resilient economic empowerment for LGBTI+ movements worldwide.
