As countries present their Voluntary National Reviews (VNRs) during the HLPF, it is imperative to spotlight the lived realities of LGBTIQ+ individuals worldwide. Despite global commitments, LGBTIQ+ communities continue to face systematic exclusion and barriers in the implementation of the SDGs. This proposed side event aims to humanize data, elevate resilience, and amplify recommendations from queer communities across multiple regions.

This event is organised by Power of Pride is a 5-year strategic partnership (2021 – 2025) in collaboration with and funded by the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA-NL). The programme is managed jointly by an alliance consisting of COC Netherlands, Pan Africa ILGA and ILGA Asia and implemented in 22 countries across Africa and Asia in partnership with 250+ community-based organizations (CBOs).
