A spotlight report on the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for sustainable development by the Republic of Suriname

In 2022, Suriname was among the 45 countries that volunteered to conduct a Voluntary National Review (VNR) of its implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. This initiative took place in the context of the 10th session of the High-level Political Forum on Sustainable Development (HLPF), held in July 2022. It marked Suriname’s first VNR since the adoption and entry into force of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Through this process, Suriname assessed its progress, identified challenges, and demonstrated its commitment to inclusive and transparent implementation of the SDGs.

This report was led by PAREA–Suriname, in partnership with COC–Netherlands, and authored by Milton Andy Castelen, LLM & LLM.
